At
Ocean Radiology, our patients are
the focus of
everything we do. Our goal is to share that philosophy with you, from
the moment you walk through our door.
To
help you feel more prepared for your
procedure, we
invite you to review the guidelines below. They apply to all exams
offered at Ocean Radiology.
Each
type of imaging exam and
diagnostic or
therapeutic procedure also has its own specific guidelines. Special
instructions for your exam will be given at the time of scheduling. For
certain procedures, a Ocean Radiology representative will contact you
24–48 hours prior to your exam with instructions.
- Notify
your
physician and Ocean Radiology staff if
there is any chance that you may be pregnant or are currently
breastfeeding.
- Discuss
any special
needs, such as dietary and/or
physical limitations, with us in advance.
- Check
with us in
advance about recovery time or
the need for a driver so you can make necessary arrangements with work
and family.
- Arrive
15 minutes
early to verify your
registration information and provide further health information for
your exam.
- Wear
comfortable,
metal-free clothing; be prepared
to change into a patient gown if necessary.
- Bring
prior x-rays
or scans with you to the exam
if you are instructed to do so.
